So, I'm thinking of changing directions with my 924 and getting it set up to go racing. (Was originally going to restore it) I'm looking at both SVRA and SCCA wheel to wheel. The requirements are nearly the same, but still require some hefty modifications. To hit the minimum weight, nearly every panel will need to be replaced with fibreglass. The glass (inclduing the hatch) will need to be made out of plexiglass or similar. It will also need pretty big fender flares, as the minimum tire size will stick out bast the stock fenders (basically it's turning in to a 944). I'm going to replace the pop-ups with solid assemblies and of course, I'll have to cage it and put racing seats/harnesses in too.

Neat! If you need to get fibreglass panels anyway it won't matter if you need to get 944 ones as you need new wings anyway.
